I adopted a black lab Jet(now called Tess)almost 18 moths ago and can
tell you that this wonderful dog has brought my family so much love joy
and entertainment that we cannot imagine life without her. If the family
that gave her up for adoption read this, then I would like to thank them
for giving her a second chance with us. she loves the beach,the river
and anything that involves water! |

Merry Christmas to all the Labradors and their owners/wannabe owners out
there. By handing over Odie I have finally realised that that was the
right thing to do. My son and I were at a friends home last night and
Sam began sneezing, is eyes were watering badly and he had a rash on his
cheeks. Initially I thought it may only happen with Odie, now this
confirms it was the right thing to do. Hope the Lab Welfare has a
prosperous new year. |

we lost our lab cross at the begining of the year and are hopeing with
your help adopt a yellow or black lab to become a much loved family pet

Just a little note for the family that has Odie. He loved the beach and
surfing with Sam, my eight year old son. Odie\'s mum came from the Queen
mother\'s litter at Sandringham, so there is a little bit of blue blood
in him. I hope you love him as much as we do. We still miss him
dreadfully but knowing that he has gone to a lovely family has dried up
the tears. As a puppy he went to classes, and can do basic commands. He
is not a greedy dog, and doesn\'t like gravy or milk adding to his dried
food. He loves playing with a ball especially when there are other
children around. He is a lovely, faithful dog who is missed everyday
here. Unfortunately for us, dad\'s asthma has not subsided at all, but
Sam is feeling the benefit of not living with the dog. Sadly, we now
know that we shall never have another dog. Tonight I have begun to read
\'Marley and Me\' by John Grogan... last week seeing the book caused
great despair, today I am laughing and living the book. Alot of the
first two chapters could be Odie. By the way his full name is \"Odie
Schnitzel von Gruber\", named after the Odie character from Garfield the
cat. Odie loves Pedigree gravy bones/chicken flavour and chewing toes,
mens in particular! Give him a cuddle from us and rub his head hard
with the back of your hand... he loves this. Thank you for looking
after him and taking him in to join your family. Michele

Due to unforEseen circumstances we had had to rehouse Bruno and would
like to write thank you, for all you have done. Whoever homes him, give
him lots and lots of cuddles espically around his ears. Please let him
know we have heavy hearts but think of him with a happy smile. He loves
the water and rooting around in the woods and hiding his bones. He will
be forever missed but hopefully shared with another lovely family.

Just had an email from June, Odie has been rehomed and he loves being
with his new family. Thank you to the new family, give hime a daily
cuddle just from us, tell him we miss him, then throw the ball...
Special thanks to June and her team. Odie is an honest, faithful dog,
the best you will ever have. |

Sam (now Samson) has been a part of our family for 2 weeks now and I
just wanted to say a realy BIG THANK YOU for allowing him to come into
our lives. He has settled in so well it is like he has always been a
member of our family. None of us could live without him and I think he
feels the same way about us too!!! Thanks again and keep up the good

We\\\'ve had Ruby now for nearly three weeks and she\\\'s slotted into
our family with no problems. Thank you so much June, you do a fantastic
job! We put a lot of thought into getting a dog and decided a puppy wasn\\\'t
for us. After talking to friends & family & looking into it a bit more
we decided we would like a lab. Couldn\\\'t believe our luck when we
discovered Lab Welfare (& Ruby!). Would recommend to anyone. Thanks

Thank you Lab Welfare. Unfortunately, as a result of divorce, I had to
say goodbye to my Lab of 11 years in July. It was extremely painful but
I know she is well cared in her long term foster home. It makes things
much easier to deal with knowing she has gone to a good home and I am
really pleased that she will have a happy few years. Thanks |

Thanks to Lab Welfare. The love affair started with Ted two years ago
and June listened to what we wanted and matched him perfectly, he is a
little peach, and now our latest addition to the lab family - Bramble,
who has, again, fitted in so well. They truely are a pleasure. Well done

We fostered a bitch from you a while ago, molly and as you may know she
passed away a few weeks ago. Molly had a serious heart condition and we
knew she would not live very long, however i just want to note that the
card and on going support you have given to my family has been
tremendous and whilst loosing something so precious is very hard, we all
know we have let molly live her short life to the full. I wanted to
leave a comment so that other people can see what a brilliant
organisation this is, and even though molly only had a few precious
years of life, labrador welfare gave her that and our family many
beautiful memories. thankyou. |

I am looking for a labrador aged between 6 month to 2years ideally. I
lost my last lab 18 months ago at the age of 13years... He and i had
shared an idealic realationship with lots of love and memories since
getting him at 8weeks old. He started having fits at 3years old so have
treated him daily for his last 10years. I cannot find the adoption form
on this site as i would love to look at Coco and the 8month old one

We are looking for an older labrador for my two elderly aunts. They have
had black labs for the last 50 years and have recently lost their last
bitch, a retired gun dog. They have been looking for some time in their
area, without success. They live in Cropston, a small village north of
Leicester. We live in Sheffield and saw a notice in our local vets. We
hope you can help or maybe put us on to someone closer to them if you
