A quick update after 2 1/2 years training we now have a talking dog and
he has also learnt to tell the time In other words he tells us when its
time for his walk and he makes the most adorable sound when getting
treats.ETC ETC |

We have had Rex for just over 2 weeks and can honestly say we couldn't
do without him. He is an absolute star and for a 7 year old has
boundless energy - and very keen eyesight for anything left lying
around!! Thanks to June and all the team for their tireless work. |

We've had Clyde for nearly 6 months now and I can honestly say that we
couldn't have been matched with a more perfect dog. He's a big softie!
A playful but gentle giant who has a beautiful shiny black coat and a
basil brush type tail (he's a part cross golden retriever). Everyone
melts whenever they see his gorgeous face and he just loves all the
attention that he gets. His only faults are that he has selective
hearing in the woods - he won't come back until he's good and ready
(although he never ventures much further than the nearest stream), and
he can pinch food in a heartbeat if you're distracted. This special
talent has earned him the nickname 'stealth dog!' These aside, he is an
absolute joy and we wouldn't be without him for a single second. Our
sincere thanks go out to June and everyone at Labrador Welfare for
making our family complete!!!

Last march we sadly had to say 'goodbye' to our much loved 12 year old
golden Labrador. Having waited a year we can't wait to have another
labrador and were delighted to find such an obviously caring site.
Looking forward to hearing about a suitable lab asap !! |

We adopted Max in November 2008 and I just want to say that I never
imagined we could love a dog so much. He is totally one of the family.
Max and my 7 year old son are the best of buddies, it is a pleasure to
see. He is loving, loyal and great fun. We had wonderful support from
June in the early days as he had been ill in kennels and had an upset
tummy when he first came to us. Keep up the good work! |

We adopted Jess in October 2009. Slightly overweight, a food thief and
extremely boisterous around people and other dogs, our cats didn't quite
know what to make of her! (still don't in fact!). She quickly made
herself at home and is a joy to own just as long as we don't leave any
food where she can reach it. She's a wonderful dog, thank you so much
for finding her for us. We'll be looking for a playmate to join her soon
and have no hesitation in coming back to Lab Welfare. |
