Sandy

|
Sandy
was our first member, and remains our main sponsor dog. He is on
Epiphen (Phenobarbitone), and Epliease (Potassium Bromide). This is
helping to control his fits, and he is enjoying a good quality of life.
Sandy’s medication costs around £62 per month.

Jack

|
Jack
has juvenile arthritis and will remain on the Sponsor Dog scheme,
although at present he is managing without medication. We know that in
the years to come it is inevitable that he will need to take Metacam,
and we will be there to pay for any medication he needs for this
condition.

Henry

|
Henry
has skin allergies and these can flare up from time to time. This
means that there are times when he is fine and does not need any
medication. However, if you have ever owned a dog with allergy
problems, you will know how costly it can be to sort things out so once
again we will be there for when Henry needs help.

Toby

|
Toby
has
some behavioural problems that we feel specialist help will be needed to
sort out. He is a young dog with lots of energy and so much to offer;
we want to be there to give him and his owner the financial help to seek
professional advice. Unfortunately, Toby is still looking for a home. |

Lucky

|
Lucky had a wry mouth.
Our vet feels that he must have had an impact injury (possible dog
attack, or hit by car), which has affected the growth plates on the
right side of his face; hence he has a wry mouth. His teeth are all
over the place, and although we have been advised to leave well alone at
present, he may well need some dental work doing in the future. Thanks
to your support we will be able to pay for any dental work he may
require.

Charlie Bucket

|
Charlie Bucket is the
newest member on the scheme. Unfortunately, he escaped from his owner’s
garden and was involved in a road traffic accident that resulted in a
broken right front leg. His owners had been hit by the recession and
were unable to pay for his veterinary treatment. As he is a young dog
we hope that he will make a full recovery, but we do feel that in view
of his accident, people may be put off taking him on. If we can offer
help with any of the conditions that may arise that can be attributed to
this break then we should find it easier to find him a home. |
